Meet the Candidates

Penny Clegg

My name is Penny Clegg.  I'm a married grandma, originally from  Pennsylvania.  My husband, Bill, and I moved to Colony Cove 18 months ago to live our best life in retirement.  We live on Yukon Trail on the north side and have the best neighbors.  I believe "participation is the key to harmony" and regularly make use of the pools, halls, attend events put on by clubs, enjoy Trivia, Karaoke, etc.  I grew up in a family who promoted volunteerism and know "it takes a village".  I'm looking for the best way for me to make a positive impact.  In the 80's, I started and presided over a tenant's association advocating for my rental community.  20 years later, I did so for the Homeowners in another neighborhood where I lived.  I've got a Paralegal degree and experience as a landlord in PA.  I have been doing real estate investments in the Tampa area for over 5 years.  During that time I've gotten quite savvy at navigating the system.  I look forward to sharing my experience and enthusiasm to serve my community here in Colony Cove and get things done for all of us.

Charlie Fitch

I would be a great addition to the 2025 HOA Board because of my past experience on previous boards; 17 years on an HOA Board in Illinois and 3 years on the Board at Colony Cove.  In volunteering for the Boards, I have held all positions, so I am aware of what it takes for a group to work as a team to get results.  I want to be instrumental in making Colony Cove the best it can be.  I believe in this community and all that we can accompllish by working together for the best interest of this community.

Tammy McGuire

Hello, my name is Tammy McGuire and I am thrilled to be running for re-election to the HOA Board.   I am a wife, mother of four grown children, and proud Nana to six grandsons and one granddaughter.  I grew up in rural Colorado, particppating in Little Britches Rodeo and 4H, where I showed horses and learned the vales of hard work and teamwork.  I attended college in Wyoming, where I met my husband of 42 years.  In 2020, we moved to Florida to embrace retirement and enjoy the sunshine.  I have always been a people person and thrive when I'm part of a team, contributing to make a difference.  As a current HOA board member, I look forward to continuing the important work we've started and seeing our community's projects through to completion.  My strengths include being a good listener, a quick learner, and someone who is always willing to lend a hand.  Michael and I love the Colony Cover community and the wonderful friends we've made here.  You can often find me on the pickleball courts in the mornings, enjoying the Florida sunshine and building relationships with my "pickle peeps".  I am excited about the opportunity to continue serving this amazing community.

Larry Dunn

My name is Larry Dunn and I live on Baldwin Way. I am a retired CPA and I am running for the Colony Cove HOA Board.

I am currently a director on the HOA Board, being appointed by the Board in August to fill the position of a member that resigned.  I am also currently serving on the budget committee to develop a budget for 2025 for the Board.

My wife Debbie and I moved to Parrish, FL in November of 2020 from Henderson, Nevada after 25 years there via Illinois (me) and Indiana (Debbie).  We moved into Colony Cove on September 1, 2022.

Based on my life and work experience, such as being President of two HOAs in Henderson, NV, and a retired CPA, I believe I will be a valuable asset to the Board, the residents and the community as a whole. I believe in the Board's agenda and what they are trying to accomplish to help and protect our residents and the community.
